Southeast

Southeast Alaska is a stunningly beautiful place. This region is also referred to as the Alaska Panhandle, which is home to the Alaska Marine Highway and the Tongass National Forest, the nation's largest national forest. There are also plenty of glaciers to see at the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. Lush, green mountains meet the ocean, and there are plenty of activities to keep visitors busy. Hiking, fishing, and whale watching are just a few of the many things to do. The scenery is breathtaking, and the wildlife is abundant. It's no wonder that southeast Alaska is a popular destination for cruise ships, and it is a hub for fishing and logging.
